Fireball FIlms NYC is the production company for the work of writer/director/producer/actor Stefanie Sparks.

Honestly, I need to make films as much as I need to breathe. Movies connect me to people that otherwise I would never ever meet and I LOVE PEOPLE. I like people that are different than me, I like people that are real, people that are fake. People that hate me. People that I am not supposed to hang around or people that I have been conditioned to fear. I like feeling uncomfortable. I like being afraid. I like taking risks. I like learning. I like helping other people feel free and comfortable doing their art. I like helping people. I like movies. I like making movies. I like the people I meet making movies. I like the fact that movies can connect us long after we’ve returned the equipment and released the film. Movies are my family. I love movies. That’s why.

Stefanie Sparks has been working in film for almost half of her life. Starting out on indie film sets in Seattle and reality TV in LA, Stefanie quickly made her way to NYC and the New School where she earned an MA in Media and Film. She was granted a Jerome Foundation New York Filmmaker Grant for her debut feature, Cathy Coppola, which was nominated for the audience award at Brooklyn Girl Film Festival and Best in Show at the Female Eye Film Festival (Toronto). Stefanie's 2nd feature film the gross-out girl comedy In Case of Emergency ( starring Jenni Ruiza, Phoebe Robinson, Catherine Curtin, Lisa Haas) won the audience choice award at Bushwick Film Festival after being selected as the opening night film. The film went on to win audience awards at Broad Humor, New Filmmakers and screened along side some of the top female directors in the world as part of Citizen Jane Film Festival in 2017. In Case of Emergency was selected as a finalist in the Sundance Creative Distribution Fund and was released this July on iTunes & Amazon.  Stefanie has taught filmmaking at the Ghetto Film School's Midwinter Institute. This summer Stefanie worked with Bushwick Film Festival’s program for young filmmakers called Bushwick Stories. Stefanie is currently developing a film about drug trials called Rat Race starring Daniella De Jesus of OITNB and ICOE’s Jenni Ruiza.
